Job Description

Key Responsibilities:1. Production Planning & Line ManagementPrepare and execute daily and weekly production plans based on order priorities and shipment schedules.Distribute styles and load lines effectively considering SMV, manpower, and machine availability.Monitor production flow from cutting to finishing to ensure smooth operation and minimize bottlenecks.Coordinate with Planning, IE, and Merchandising departments for line setup and style changeover.Ensure each line meets the set efficiency and output targets.2. Quality & ComplianceEnsure strict compliance with buyer quality standards throughout the production process.Work closely with the QA department to reduce rejection, rework, and inline defects.Conduct daily production meetings to review quality issues and corrective actions.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards as per buyer and factory policies.3. Productivity & Efficiency ImprovementMonitor line efficiency, operator performance, and overall factory output.Implement Lean, 5S, and Kaizen techniques to improve productivity and reduce waste.Coordinate with IE for method improvement, motion study, and time study.Maintain updated production records, WIP control, and loss time analysis.4. Team Management & SupervisionSupervise and lead all section heads including cutting, sewing, finishing, and maintenance.Train, guide, and motivate line chiefs, supervisors, and operators for better performance.Evaluate staff performance and recommend promotions, transfers, or disciplinary actions.Maintain discipline, attendance, and teamwork across production lines.5. Coordination & CommunicationLiaise with Merchandising, Technical, and Maintenance teams to resolve production bottlenecks.Attend daily production meetings and report progress to management.Communicate clearly with management on production status, constraints, and requirements.6. Resource & Cost ManagementEnsure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.Control production costs by minimizing idle time, rejects, and wastage.Track and report material shortages or delays affecting production targets.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Production Management from a reputed institution.Minimum 7–10 years of experience in woven garment production, with at least 3 years in a managerial or senior supervisory role.Strong technical knowledge in woven products such as trousers, pants, or jackets.Experience working with international buyers (e.g., H&M, Zara, Next, Levi’s, Gap, etc.) preferred.Proficiency in MS Office and production planning tools.Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
