Production Materials Planner

An established and fast-growing manufacturer of traffic control and smart mobility products is seeking a Direct Material Planner & Production Coordinator to join its operations team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating people, materials, and processes to ensure everything runs on time and to plan.You’ll be responsible for planning material requirements through SAP (or a similar ERP), scheduling production, and ensuring that orders flow efficiently from purchase through to despatch. You’ll work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and customers to maintain smooth production schedules and on-time delivery.What you’ll do:Plan and coordinate direct material supply through MRP and purchasing processesSchedule and release production orders, ensuring timely completion and shipmentLiaise with suppliers, internal departments, and customers to manage order flowMaintain accurate records, reports, and performance metricsContribute to continuous improvement across operations and inventory controlWhat you’ll bring:4–5 years’ experience in materials planning, production coordination, or similar rolesExperience with SAP MRP and manufacturing environmentsStrong organisational and communication skills with a collaborative mindsetA proactive, detail-focused approach to planning and problem solvingTAFE or higher qualification in business, engineering, supply chain management or similarThis is a great opportunity to be part of a growing organisation delivering innovative technology to the Australian infrastructure sector.
