Morgan McKinley are seeking a talented and experienced Production Planner to join an expanding supply chain team. This is a contract role based in Dublin with hybrid working options.The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing forecasts, assessing production capacities, and developing strategies to ensure optimal utilization of resources while meeting customer demands. The role requires a keen understanding of supply chain dynamics, inventory management, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize production efficiency.Coordinate with various departments including procurement, manufacturing, and quality control to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.Implement strategies to minimize excess inventory and reduce waste.Work closely with the procurement, logistics, and sales teams to align production plans with supply chain and market demand.Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.Communicate with suppliers and customers to manage expectations and resolve any issues related to production schedules.Prepare and present regular reports on production status, forecasts, and potential risks..Key Requirements:4+ years experience in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management within a GMP manufacturing environment.Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience with SAP is essential.
