Let's introduce ourselvesThe Production Planning team is a core function within the newly established Volvo Car Slovakia plant in Kosice. This team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless coordination of production volumes, material flow, and scheduling across the manufacturing operations of Volvo’s first fully electric vehicle plant in Slovakia.

The Production Planning team ensures that Volvo Cars is grounded in operational excellence, enabling the plant to meet its production targets while maintaining flexibility and responsiveness to market demands. What You'll DoAs a Production Planning Management (PPM) Engineer you will be responsible for managing and coordinating product changes or production plans (based on your experience). At Volvo Cars, this role is especially critical in ensuring that production aligns with evolving customer demands, product specifications and operational efficiency goals. Develop and maintain long - term production volume plans, considering plant capacity, line speed, factory rebuilds, and new model ramp-ups.

Maintain short-term production forecasts and fix plan, propose recovery plans when needed, and manage after-sales and knock-down production planning. Plan and maintain the working calendar, sequence preliminary and fixed orders, and manage LDOC and order processing in local systems. Coordinate pre-series builds with the launch team and keep project plans updated during new model introductions. Represent the plant in planning meetings, and maintain oversight of BOM structure and launch activities.
