Production & Procurement Coordinator

As the business continues to expand, they are strengthening their production and supply chain capability and are now seeking a technically minded Production & Procurement Coordinator to support both operational workflow and strategic growth. You'll be part of a collaborative, hands on environment where continuous improvement, problem solving, and cross functional teamwork are part of everyday operations.Your new role In this hybrid Production & Procurement Coordinator position, you'll work across production planning, technical component evaluation, and supplier management, keeping manufacturing running efficiently while supporting the onboarding of new parts and materials. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning:Build and maintain BOMs within the M1 ERP systemCreate, schedule, and manage production jobsTrack progress, identify delays, and adjust schedules as requiredProvide the workshop with parts, drawings, and technical informationPartner closely with Engineering, Logistics, QA, and ProcurementIdentify opportunities for process and efficiency improvements Technical Procurement:Interpret drawings/specifications and independently assess part suitabilityResearch and evaluate new suppliers, materials, and componentsSource samples, coordinate internal testing, and manage validationLead technical assessments and documentation for new partsOversee quoting, negotiations, and supplier communication, including overseas sourcingRaise purchase orders and maintain accurate ERP procurement data This role also includes a development pathway into a future Production Planner Supervisor position, with structured training in leadership, scheduling strategy, and people management.What you'll need to succeed 3-5 years' experience in production planning, procurement, or supply chainManufacturing background essential; automotive/transport highly valuedStrong ability to read technical drawings and BOMsExperience with ERP/MRP systems (M1 preferred)Highly organised, detail driven, and analyticalConfident communicator who thrives in fast paced operational environmentsMotivated to improve processes and grow into leadershipWhat you'll get in return A long term position with genuine leadership progressionExposure across Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and PurchasingOpportunity to drive process improvement and influence technical decisionsSupportive team environment with clear succession planningWork within a stable and growing Australian manufacturerWhat you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your resume.
