In 2023, JDE Peet’s generated total sales of close to 15 billion NZD and employed a global workforce of more than 20,000 employees.Job DescriptionJDE Peet’s is looking for an enthusiastic Production Specialist/ Machine Operator in our factory in Ōtara, Auckland to work on a casual basis, to cover leave and periods of high production volume. This role is vital in ensuring a safe work environment, and the production of high-quality tea and coffee.Key Tasks Will IncludeOperating machineryManufacturing and packaging tea and coffee products to specifications Setting up machines and/or weighing scales (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cyclePack, stack and move pallets with the use of a forklift when/if requiredEnsure raw materials accurately flow to the machinesFix any issues that might happen during the shift (including basic troubleshooting) or ask for help to problem solveComplete paperwork Maintain high-quality standards and aim for continuous improvementKeep a clean and safe working environment and make the best use of the space availableComplete quality and production records in line with policies/proceduresReport any issues/non-conformances & wasteLabelling/tagging of bags and packingWork to meet daily targetsProactively managing your own time and work priorities Can work both autonomously and as part of a teamQualificationsQualificationsWe’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:Production Operator experience (ideally within Food, Beverage or Pharma Industries)You’re able to safely lift up to 25kgsWillingness to learn, grow and adapt as production needs changeValid NZ working rightsYou have your own transport to get to our factory in ŌtaraAdditional InformationIf you think you're up for a new challenge just like this, please grab a cuppa, brush up your CV and apply now (it's really easy, we promise).
