Production Support Engineer – Front Office Trading ApplicationsLocation: WarsawBusiness Area: Financial Markets – Investment BankingWorking Arrangement: Hybrid, 2 days per week in officePayment: B2B - 210PLN per hourRole SummaryWe are seeking a Production Support Engineer to join the Financial Markets technology team within a leading investment bank. This role is critical to ensuring the stability and availability of front-office trading applications that support revenue-generating activities across multiple asset classes. You will work directly on the trading floor, providing technical support for applications used in pricing, booking, and risk management.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide application support for front-office trading systems in a live production environment.Act as a gatekeeper for production environments, ensuring application availability and stability.Manage incident and change processes in line with ITIL standards.Monitor and troubleshoot issues using enterprise tools (ITRS Geneos, Active Console).Collaborate with traders, sales, and technology teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively.Support a portfolio of ~31 applications (mix of in-house and vendor solutions).Perform scheduling and automation tasks using ITOS Control and Rundeck.Participate in on-call rotation and handle high-pressure situations on the trading floor.Required Skills & ExperienceStrong experience in Linux environments (Red Hat preferred); some exposure to Windows.Shell scripting (bash) and basic Python for automation and troubleshooting.Familiarity with monitoring tools (ITRS Geneos) and incident management systems (ServiceNow).Basic SQL skills for database queries.Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident & Change Management).Excellent communication skills for direct interaction with traders and stakeholders.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.Nice-to-Have SkillsExposure to containerized environments (Kubernetes, OpenShift).Knowledge of Big Data technologies (Hadoop).Experience with Java-based applications.Familiarity with financial markets concepts (Commodities, Rates, Credit, FX Options).Understanding of Straight Through Processing (STP).Experience with DevOps tools (Azure DevOps).Why Join?Work at the heart of a global trading operation supporting critical revenue-generating systems.Gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies and complex financial markets.Collaborate with high-performing teams across London and New York.
