Gastops’ products and services add value throughout the life cycle of complex critical equipment from the design stage through to in-service operations and support.  We design, manufacture and support advanced equipment sensing and analysis products, including on-line oil debris sensors, torque measurement sensors, turbine blade health sensors, and at-line oil analysis systems.Based in Ottawa, Ontario, the Production Technician will report to the Team Lead, Test Manufacturing or Team Lead, Sensory Assembly and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on the manufacturing of products in accordance to established quality standards.What You’ll Do:The Production Technician will be part of our Production team with the primary focus of helping to ensure our products are produced for on time delivery. You will:Read and interpret work instructions and drawings for assembliesAssemble harnesses, mechanical and optical componentsSoldering PCB assembliesManufacturing product sub-assembliesManufacturing Sensor assembliesConfigure Microsoft Windows and ChipCHECK softwareTest and verification of completed ChipCHECK systems as per ATP processUse internal EPICOR systems to document and record build, configurations and testingProvide recommendations for improvement on Work InstructionsAssist in troubleshooting ChipCHECK unitsSupport mechanical assembliesUse internal systems to document and record build, configurations and testingProvide recommendations for improvement on Work InstructionsPlease note that this job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive statement of every duty and responsibility that will ever be required of an employee in the job.Who You Are:Mechanically inclined and well versed in mechanical assemblyHold a current IPC certificationCompetent soldering skillsPossess working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Seeks out clarification when needed to help understand a problem betterHave an excellent ability to work in accordance with established processesA team player and works well in a dynamic environmentExperience with optical and laser device assemblies would be an assetAbility to understand and follow approved testing work instructionsFamiliarity with hand tools and power tools like torque wrench, screwdriver, Allen keys etc.Strong interest for high-quality and attention to detailAbility to work with other team membersWhat You Should Bring:The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Electro-mechanical program.
