As a part of Epta Group, Epta Turkiye is continue to their manufacturing operations based in Avrupa Serbest Bolgesi / since 2007 and improving the production capacity and headcount. In line with growing organisation in Turkiye, we are looking for new teammates as “ Production Unit Coordinator” who will be under Manufacturing Operations Department.Job Purpose The Production Unit Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the effective execution of daily manufacturing operations within assigned production areas, in alignment with the plant’s safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives. Reporting directly to the Production Operations Manager, this role acts as the key link between shop-floor teams and plant management, coordinating workforce activities, monitoring performance metrics, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Unit Coordinator ensures that resources, materials, and processes are efficiently managed to achieve production targets while maintaining compliance with company standards and fostering a culture of teamwork, discipline, and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution- Coordinate daily production activities in line with the master production schedule and operational priorities.- Ensure optimal utilization of workforce, machines, and materials to meet production targets (output, efficiency, and scrap levels).- Follow up on shift reports, downtime analysis, and corrective actions to ensure continuity and improvement.- Support changeover activities and ensure minimal loss of productivity during product or model transitions.- Collaborate with Planning, Maintenance, and Quality teams to address bottlenecks and optimize flow across the line.2. Team Leadership & People Management- Supervise and guide production team leaders and operators to achieve daily goals in safety, quality, and productivity.- Participate in workforce planning, performance evaluation, and skill development of production personnel.- Foster a positive, disciplined, and team-oriented work environment based on respect and accountability.- Identify training needs in coordination with HR and ensure employees are cross-trained according to skill matrix requirements.- Act as a role model in demonstrating company values, communication standards, and professional behavior on the shop floor.3. Quality & Continuous Improvement- Ensure products are manufactured in compliance with defined quality standards and specifications.- Work closely with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve non-conformities, customer complaints, or process deviations.- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, Lean, TPM) within the production unit.- Monitor quality indicators (defects, rework, scrap) and initiate root-cause analysis for recurring issues.- Contribute to process standardization, visual management, and continuous performance enhancement projects.4. Safety, Environment & Compliance- Enforce plant safety rules, EHS policies, and legal regulations in all production activities.- Conduct regular safety checks, risk assessments, and housekeeping audits within the assigned area.- Ensure all team members receive safety training and use the correct PPE.- Promote a proactive safety culture by reporting near-misses and leading by example in safe behaviors.- Support the implementation of sustainability and environmental improvement programs.5. Communication & Coordination- Act as the key communication link between the shop floor and the Production/Operation Manager.- Coordinate with Maintenance, Logistics, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth production flow.- Report daily production results, key performance indicators (OEE, downtime, scrap, etc.), and improvement actions to management.- Participate in daily or weekly production meetings and provide data-based insights for decision-making.- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of production data, material usage, and manpower allocation.6. Project & System Support- Support implementation of new production systems, layout changes, and process automation projects.- Contribute to digitalization initiatives such as MES, Qlik dashboards, or ERP improvements.- Assist in validation of new product introductions and engineering change requests (ECR/ECO).- Track and communicate progress on improvement projects related to efficiency, cost reduction, or waste minimization.Requirements / Qualifications- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.- Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in metalworking, assembly or refrigeration appliance production.- Leadership: Proven experience in supervising shop-floor teams or acting in a team leader, supervisor, head of section or assistant production manager role.- Technical Knowledge:- Strong understanding of production processes, OEE, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S methodologies.- Familiarity with SAP ERP system and production reporting tools.- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret production data, identify performance trends, and implement corrective actions.- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate across functions and motivate diverse teams.- Language: Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required for internal and group communication.- Hands-on, solution-oriented, and disciplined work approach.- Willingness to be present on the shop floor and engage directly with operations teams.
