Role Title: Professional Officer, NMC Conveniently located in Haymarket close to public transport Employment type: full-time temporary 6 months role with a possibility of extension 35 hour working week, in a hybrid working environmentAbout This RoleThe Professional Officer, NMC provides professional advice and expertise to assist the Council in its regulatory activities under the Health Practitioner National Law (NSW)(the Law)The Professional Officer, NMC actively promotes the role of the Nursing Midwifery Council, leads continuous improvement initiatives in relation to effectiveness of one or more council programs, and contributes to ongoing development of professional frameworks to address emerging trends in regulation.Nurse Manager Grade 5 from $155142.54 - $157772.34 plus Super and annual leave loadingAbout YouFor more information, read the full Role Description:We Are Seeking Motivated And Committed Individuals With Current Australian registration as a nurse (Division 1) and/or midwife and appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent, relevant professional experience and training with up to date knowledge of current clinical practice standards and excellent understanding of contemporary ethical standards Thorough knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework for health professions in Australia including the statutory responsibilities and functions of the Nursing and Midwifery Council Experience in managing mental health/ drug use, and/ or managing disciplinary or performance matters within a health organisationHow To ApplyAll applicants must review the role description and apply by submitting an up-to-date resume (up to 5 pages) and responses to 2 targeted questions.
