Job description:Programme Director – LAN & Wi-Fi Infrastructure Deployment (Aviation Sector)Location: Schiphol Amsterdam (Hybrid)Contract 1 year with possible extensionRole Overview We are seeking an experienced Programme Director to lead and oversee the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale LAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure deployment across multiple airport and airline environments. This is a strategic leadership role requiring deep expertise in network deployments within the aviation sector, strong programme governance, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships at senior levels. The programme spans global locations, with a particular focus on France and the Netherlands, requiring familiarity with local operational, regulatory, and cultural contexts.Key ResponsibilitiesProgramme LeadershipLead the planning, execution, and delivery of LAN & Wi-Fi deployment programmes across multiple airport and airline sites globally.Provide dedicated oversight of deployments in France and the Netherlands.Stakeholder ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders including airport authorities, airline IT teams, and regulatory bodies across international locations.Technical OversightCollaborate with the Technical Lead to ensure strategic oversight of network architecture, design, and implementation.Guarantee all technical deliverables align with aviation industry standards, security protocols, and customer requirements.Governance & ReportingEstablish robust programme governance frameworks, manage risks and issues, and deliver regular progress reports to both internal and external stakeholders.Vendor & Partner CoordinationOversee third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring SLA compliance and contractual delivery across multiple geographies.Budget & Resource ManagementOwn and manage programme budgets, forecasts, and resources to ensure optimal allocation and cost efficiency.Compliance & SafetyEnsure all deployments comply with aviation safety, regulatory, and cybersecurity standards, with specific adherence to local compliance in France and the Netherlands.Required Experience & SkillsProven experience as a Programme Director or Senior Programme Manager in large-scale network infrastructure deployments, ideally within the aviation industry.Strong understanding of LAN/Wi-Fi technologies, network security, and airport IT environments.Demonstrated success managing multi-site international deployments, including in France and the Netherlands.Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging C-level and senior customer executives.Strong leadership, negotiation, and governance capabilities.Familiarity with aviation regulatory frameworks, particularly within European jurisdictions.PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent programme management certification preferred.Preferred QualificationsDegree in Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or a related field.Experience collaborating with airport authorities, airline IT teams, or aviation infrastructure providers.Knowledge of airport operational systems, passenger connectivity services, and IoT integration.Fluency in French or Dutch is a strong advantage
