Job Title: Program Manager III (Business and UX Design Ops.)Location: San Francisco, CA or San Jose, CA (Hybrid - 3 days/week onsite)Duration: contract until Dec’26Pay Rate: $65-67/hr. on w2About the team and the role:The Design Operations Specialist supports the operational health and day-to-day efficiency of the client design organization. This role focuses on maintaining the systems, processes, and programs that keep the organization running smoothly — including procurement, tooling, and design operations. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and systems-minded.Responsibilities:Procurement ManagementLead new vendors through the onboarding process, including engagement with procurement, legal, compliance, finance, business and technology teams to ensure NDAs, MSAs, and SOWs are completed on time to support requirements.Manage the contracting for design tools, software licenses, and specialized services (e.g., agency vendors, prototyping tools, workshops)Business Operations SupportManage DesignOps Airtable and shared tools (Google Drive, Figma, and vendor access)Maintain operational documentation, dashboards, and communication channels.Manage the Design Onboarding program, including welcome communications, tracking, resources, and live sessions.Enablement & ToolingEnsure design tools are ready for use and accessible to team members.Manage tool access requests and license assignments.Programming & Community SupportMaintain Airtable (calendar of events, and recordings).Coordinate logistics for community programs and internal workshops, including scheduling, invites, and follow-up communications.Partner with program leads to manage logistics and comms for community-led sessions.What you will bring: 5-7 years of experience in Design Operations, Program Management, or similar coordination or enablement roles.Proficient in Figma, Airtable, Google Workspace, Microsoft Outlook, Slack and Prismic CMS.Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.Skilled at documenting processes clearly and identifying opportunities to streamline operations.Comfortable managing logistics and supporting hybrid, distributed teams.Familiarity with vendor management, contract workflows, or procurement processes.Comfortable using AI-powered tools to enhance workflows and processes.
