Job Title: Programme Manager – Risk Transformation (Contract)Location: Hybrid (Remote & Ad Hoc Yorkshire)IR35: InsideDuration: 6 MonthsDay Rate: ~£850 (DOE)The OpportunityWe’re seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead a Risk Transformation programme for a major Financial Services organisation. This is a contract role with immediate impact, ideal for someone who thrives on delivery, can hit the ground running, and brings deep expertise in Risk and Banking change.You’ll take ownership of a complex, multi-workstream programme focused on risk data, reporting, controls, and regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on delivery role, not just governance, where you’ll be expected to drive outcomes, unblock issues, and ensure milestones land on time.Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-end delivery leadership of a multi-year Risk Transformation programme.Mobilise workstreams covering risk data & reporting (BCBS 239), controls uplift, and regulatory change (Basel III/IV, IFRS 9, ICAAP/ILAAP).Manage RAID, dependencies, and integrated planning across multiple teams and vendors.Engage senior stakeholders (CRO, COO, CFO, regulators) and run SteerCos with clear reporting.Drive change adoption and business readiness for sustainable outcomes.Essential ExperienceRecent hands-on delivery of large-scale programmes (not just PMO oversight).Risk and Risk Transformation expertise within Financial Services/Banking.Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (BCBS 239, Basel, IFRS 9, ICAAP/ILAAP).Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes and vendor relationships.Hybrid delivery approach (Agile + Waterfall for regulatory milestones).
