Miyamoto is a global multi-hazard engineering and disaster risk reduction firm that provides resiliency expertise that sustains industries and safeguards communities across the globe.We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented national Program Manager based in Syria to lead and coordinate the implementation of our country-level projects.Please note: This is a project-based, grant-funded consultancy position. Position is subject to being awarded the project and any further donor approvals.Position SummaryThe national Syria Program Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of key projects in Syria.Success in this position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities, as well as adherence to donor requirements and the delivery of timely, high-quality results and reports.This position will lead the comprehensive planning and execution of Syria-based projects, fostering collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and compliant delivery of emergency response and recovery programming.It is anticipated that this role will be based in Aleppo. No relocation resources are provided.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee all aspects of emergency and recovery programs in Syria.Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary national team of program and technical staff.Develop, monitor, and adjust project implementation plans to ensure effective delivery of services.Maintain proactive communication and coordination with global colleagues (remote), local authorities, community representatives, UN agencies, and other key stakeholders.Ensure compliance with donor and organizational requirements, including timely and accurate reporting.Contribute to strategic discussions and planning related to Miyamoto’s Syria operations.Qualifications And ExperienceEducation: Master’s degree in a relevant field (engineering, international development, disaster management, etc.) or a bachelor’s degree with commensurate management experience.Experience: Significant progressive experience managing humanitarian or development projects—preferably in Syria or similar emergency/conflict contexts.Knowledge: Strong familiarity with international donor regulations and project implementation requirements.Skills: Excellent organizational, leadership, budget management, communication, and writing skills.Languages: Fluency in Arabic and English (oral and written).Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and motivate diverse teams across remote and multi-cultural environments.Proven experience in capacity building and a strong commitment to knowledge sharing.How to applyPlease submit your CV and cover letter to procurement@miyamotointernational.com by November 28, 2025.
