Apply now for a chance to become a central player in fostering sustainable employment and economic growth within the state.About The RoleAs the Program Officer, you will:Support the delivery of government VET programs and strategies.Contribute to the operational and financial management of the branch's strategies and programs.Manage the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of complex program activities, including data analysis, performance reviews and risk management.Monitor the performance of initiatives, providers and stakeholders to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved.Identify and implement improvements in business processes, services, and systems to enhance quality.Negotiate, liaise, consult and resolve conflicts while promoting awareness of the VET system by prioritising new initiatives and programs.Participate in the induction, orientation and mentoring of new staff to ensure a smooth and timely integration into the business unit.Plan, address and monitor emerging challenges and issues to support the objectives of Contract Management.What We Are Looking ForThe position requires an applicant who has:Proven experience in the VET sector, with the ability to provide expert advice and contribute to policy analysis, development, implementation and review within the VET system.Demonstrated the ability to maintain high standards of work quality, including adherence to quality systems and processes.Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with a strong understanding of contemporary assurance practices.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare high quality reports, submissions and briefings.Adaptability and problem-solving skills, including the ability to respond to emerging challenges and identify opportunities for process and service improvements.Refer to the Role Description for a full list of responsibilities and what we are looking for.How To ApplyTo apply, please submit the below via the SmartJobs application page: Your current resume Provide a short statement (of no more than one page) telling us why you are interested in this role, outlining what your motivation is to join us.
