The Greater Essex County District School Board invites applications from interested, qualified, team-oriented individuals for the non-bargaining 35 hr permanent full-time, position of Program Supervisor. This non-bargaining position reports directly to the Superintendent of Business, Treasurer and Facility Services. The position is expected to begin as soon as possible and is subject to renewal based on funding from the provincial and federal governments.Job SummaryPOSITION: Program SupervisorSTART DATE: As soon as possibleLOCATION: Employee Assessment CentreSALARY: $74,874 – $88,142Nature & Scope Of PositionUnder the direction of the Superintendent of Business, Treasurer and Facility Services, who oversees the program, the Program Supervisor will coordinate and supervise the activities of employees within the Language Assessment and Resource Centre (LARC). Specific duties include:Supervising LARC program staff and ensuring accountability.Identifying Language Assessment and Resource Centre (LARC) needs in order to ensure effective and timely service delivery.Support the maintenance of positive working relationships with government funding organizationsResearch and develop LARC programs/assessment tools.Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of programs in addressing clients’ needs and meeting defined objectives.Participating in program delivery as required.Assisting in development and review of policy and procedures in order to ensure LARC objectives are met.Contributing to the LARC’s activities to collect, analyze and report on data and relevant statistical information.Participating in meetings and committees and assisting in dissemination of information to staff, provincial and federal funding agencies and external agencies.Support the management of budgets for the LARC program.Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems with a strong focus on client service.Demonstrate a commitment to and documented success in working to create a fair, inclusive, antiracist environment for all stakeholders, and to supporting diverse constituencies and populations.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsPost secondary degree or diploma in Human Sciences/Business, or a related field is required, or equivalent, as approved by the Board.Three to five years of experience in counselling and case management principles.Three to five years of experience supervising employees in a unionized environment.A thorough knowledge of resources, trends affecting the sector and relevant community needs and opportunities.Experience in program development, delivery and management as well as supporting the grant application process.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to foster team and organizational development.Proficiency in the use of computers and various software applications.Knowledge of and experience with digital marketing and communications is considered an asset.Must have access to transportation throughout Windsor and Essex County.Qualified candidates are invited to apply in writing, giving full particulars as to education, qualifications and experience by visiting www.applytoeducation.com no later than 4:00PM on Tuesday November 4, 2025.
