Cherry Lane Theatre is seeking a Coordinator to support the creative team in the development of projects and future programming. This person will be a motivated self-starter who is passionate about live entertainment and skilled in multitasking, communication, and time management. This is a full-time in person position based in New York.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative support for the senior management team as needed: schedule calls, meetings, and manage calendars. Maintain and organize internal databases to track script submissions, pitches, talent availabilities, and BLA statusCoordinate travel: book flights, trains, and hotels for senior management. Manage and submit expense reports.Support the Head of Programming in scouting new comedy, music, theater, and live eventsProvide constructive feedback on all forms of development materials including pitches, scripts, readings, and rehearsals Participate in creative feedback discussions with program leads, producers, and point executivesResearch and compile lists of tastemakers in theater, music, comedy, talk backs, and screenings Track previews and reviews of shows throughout the industryDistribute agendas and take notes for weekly meetingsQualifications2+ years experience working in a fast-paced business environment, preferably within the entertainment or creative industries. Experience can include internships.Knowledge of the landscape of talent, writers, producers, general managers, artistic directors, and executives in the live entertainment space Strong point of view on material, writers, producers, talent, and content Experience in crafting or fielding pitches at a production company, studio, or networkExcellent interpersonal, communication and relationship management skillsOrganized, humble, diligent, resourcefulWe are looking for diverse perspectives. We do not use formal job titles internally and similarly named positions may have different compensation levels. Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training.
