Key AccountabilitiesUndertake the full development lifecycle of a global Progress applicationProduce high quality software solutions within time and budgetProvide support of existing applications to an agreed SLAWork within a team and focus on continuous improvement and learningCreate innovative solutions to problemsFacilitate and support onsite deployments of major projectsOther duties as assignedQualifications, Experience, & SkillsDegree or third level qualification in IT or equivalent experienceDeveloped applications using Progress 4GL and/or Progress OpenEdgeWorking knowledge of Progress database, tables and indexesExposure to querying relational databasesExperience in development of successfully delivering development projects in a commercial environmentWorking knowledge of Unix / Linux Operating System and commandsKnowledge of REST API is an advantageWorking knowledge of EDI and XML messagingThe ability to work under pressure and deliver to changing business demandsAbility to see bigger picture and understand a global application focusAbility to code to standards and take direction as to general coding methodFlexibility to travel (EMEA)CompensationDP World offers exciting and challenging roles within a growing international organization.
