To 2025, HPPL has significantly invested in its energy businessHancock Energy has a full-time opportunity for an experienced Project Accountant to join a team supporting onshore oil and gas projects throughout Western Australia.This opportunity is within the Finance team and together with the Senior Financial Accountant, will provide support on finance, accounting, budget and cost control activities to the key project stakeholders within the organisation.Key Responsibilities Preparation of weekly operational reports and month-end financial reportsAssist with month-end accounting processes including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and cost allocationsIntercompany transaction reconciliationBalance Sheet reconciliationProcessing day to day transactional work - Accounts Payable & BankingEnsure expenditure compliance with Delegation of Authority specificationJV Expenditure review and reporting against Authority for Expenditure (AFE)Assist with Processing and lodgement of BAS’sAssist with the preparation of Financial Statements, Budgets and ForecastsSupporting credit card and reimbursement processes as requiredAd-hoc reporting and duties as requiredTo be successful in this role, you will need: Oil & Gas experience Tertiary or post graduate degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA/CA or similar qualification3-5 years finance and /or accounting experienceProject and JV accounting experience in Oil and Gas will be highly desirableExperience with ERP systems (Acumatica is desirable)Sound financial analytical skills with strong attention to detailProficient with Microsoft Excel and Power BIAbility to work independentlyGood collaboration with internal stakeholders Apply now to join our team as a Project Accountant and contribute to the future success of Hancock Energy.
