PLE has around 150 employees, of which around 65 are PhD students. The department offers a broad competence in areas such as chemical engineering, food technology, biotechnology and technical microbiology. The research and education at PLE spans the entire subject of chemistry and includes both undergraduate and graduate education. The Department of Process Engineering and Applied Biosciences (PLE) at Lund University works actively to ensure a good working environment through several initiatives and routines. The project's vision is a strengthened and deepened network to support a new knowledge and innovation governance structure for Europe's food system. The position also includes administrative tasks related to the EIT's Master's Programme in Food Systems Analysis EIT | LTH, Faculty of EngineeringWe offerLund University is a state authority, which means that you receive special benefits, generous vacation and a favorable occupational pension.Read more on the university's website about being employed by us Work at Lund University.Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesYour main duties will be:To work as a research assistant within the FoSSNet project.Follow up on the project's progress and ensure the implementation of the work plan.Assist in organizing meetings, workshops and conferences.Assist in the development of teaching materials and methods for food systems education, both in higher education and for professionals.Assist in the coordination of the EIT Master's Programme in Food Systems.Administration related to the above tasks.Travel within Europe is part of the duties.QualificationsRequirements for the position are:A Master's degree in food systems or a related fieldKnowledge of food systems, networks, research and educationStrong organizational, communication and coordination skillsSkills in the general use of software for systematic data search and analysisSkills in synthesizing informationVery good ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written.Merits for the position are:When assessing applicants, particular importance will be given to expertise in the subject.
