Project Buyer

For our client, we are now looking for a Project Buyer.About:The Project Buyer is the Purchasing interface towards projects and suppliers on his/her Commodities and/or scope during the sourcing and entire project phase. Always in line with the responsible lead strategic buyer and the Commodity Strategy. He/she is responsible for securing that the project targets are met and maintained. QDCFTSR: Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability, Risk Management.Responsibilities:Drive the work to establish a cross-functional component time plan and, based on that, develop the sourcing plan for the componentManage the following Sourcing activities in project phase:To drive the supplier selection process in ProjectsTo secure that supplier selection complies to the Project Targets/Budget (Sourcing deadline, tooling/SIPD cost etc)Secure that supplier selection is aligned with the Commodity Strategy.Fulfilling assigned Purchasing Gate deliverables established by the Project Management Team, including updating and following up in PGT according to our project management process (DVP)When required, report project status ahead of gates to Purchasing Management and inform the purchasing organization and relevant stakeholders about project status, timeline, scope, etcAs a part of the cross functional team take an active part of the project, participating in required meetings, contribute to the fulfillment of the total project and be the voice of Purchasing in the Project Management TeamParticipate in Part and Key Component Identification and compiling Part Release Plan and contribute to establishing a Part Release PlanKeep close collaboration with buyer(s) for corresponding segmentsSecure cost performance in projects.
