As a Project Controls Analyst, you will be accountable for providing analytical support and expertise in project planning, cost management, scheduling, risk assessment, and performance monitoring. Reporting to the Project Controls Supervisor, the Project Controls Analyst is essential in ensuring effective project execution, adherence to budgets and schedules, and successful project completion within the organization. You will work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):COST MANAGEMENT (Weighting 60%)Cost Management & EstimationSupport the development of project budgets and cost estimatesMonitor project expenditures, track costs, and analyze budget variancesIdentify cost-saving opportunities and propose recommendations for cost optimizationConduct cost forecasting and provide accurate financial projections for project completionCost Tracking & MonitoringMonitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle, including tracking expenses, labor costs, materials, subcontractor costs, and other project-related expendituresReview, validate invoices, purchase orders, contracts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual obligationsMaintain accurate cost records and ensure proper coding of costs for accurate tracking and reportingIdentify scope deviations, trends and potential risks that may impact project budgetsPROJECT MONITORING & REPORTING (Weighting 25%)Risk Assessment & ManagementIdentify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project successConduct risk analysis, assess the probability, impact of risks, and develop mitigation strategies. (facilities projects)Monitor/report on risk mitigation activities, providing updates to project stakeholders and incorporating risk management measures into project planning and execution. Cost Control & ForecastingMaintain and administer robust cost control processes to monitor project expenses, including procurement costs, subcontractor costs, equipment rentals, and other project-related expendituresReview and validate project invoices, purchase orders, and contracts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual obligationsConduct regular cost reviews, analyze scope changes, trends, and forecast project financial performance to support proactive decision-makingProvide timely and accurate financial reports and analysis to project stakeholders, including cost-to-complete projections and revenue recognition updatesCHANGE MANAGEMENT & VARIANCE ANALYSIS (Weighting 10%)Change Management & Scope ControlAssist in managing project scope changes, including impact analysis and change request evaluation. (facilities project)Collaborate with project teams to assess the impact of scope changes and variations on project costs. (facilities project)Evaluate change requests, conduct cost analysis, and provide cost estimates for proposed changes. (facilities project)Maintain accurate change logs and ensure proper documentation and communication of approved changes. (facilities project)Update project budgets and forecasts to reflect approved changes and their financial implications. Stakeholder Communication & CollaborationFacilitate effective communication and collaboration among project teams and stakeholdersCoordinate project meetings, including progress updates, status reviews, and risk discussionsEnsure timely and accurate distribution of project-related information to stakeholdersBuild strong relationships with project team members, clients, and other stakeholdersCONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT (Weighting 5%)Process Improvement & Best PracticesIdentify opportunities for process improvement in project controls methodologiesDevelop and implement best practices, standardized templates, and tools. (facilities project)Promote continuous improvement in project controls processes and workflowsCost Optimization & Value EngineeringIdentify opportunities for cost optimization and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle. (facilities project)QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, project management, or a related fieldPrevious experience in project controls, project management, or a similar analytical roleExperience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is required; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is an assetStrong knowledge of project management principles, practices, and methodologiesProficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Microsoft NAVISION)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detailStrong financial acumen and cost management expertiseExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in cross-functional teamsProficiency in data analysis and reporting using tools such as Microsoft Excel or Power BIWe offer competitive wages, training, flexible, dynamic, and exciting work environment.We thank you for your application and interest in our organization.
