Job Description

This role of Project Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Department. The role is to be the link between the field technicians and the project manager. This role will assist with various office tasks: Permits, Submittals, Safety Talks, Data entry of job descriptions and misc. projects.Job ResponsibilitiesAssist in phone coverage and associated communications between customers, vendors, supervisors, project managers and field personnelWorking 5 days a week in office (Hours flexible)History in Construction training a plus management background a plusHistory with IFS platform a plusTrack and manage office inventory and supplies — order replacements as needed.Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, customers, and incoming calls — providing friendly and professional communication.Assist with planning and coordinating office events, celebrations, and branch meetings.Occasionally ability to lift 10+ lbsEnter jobs/job information into accounting system Compiles needed information for material purchases, submittals, O & M manuals, etc. per PM requestPull permits for worksites as well as request inspections Type up Proposals/Service Agreements as neededAssist with ordering equipment for jobsPrint plans/specs/etc. as neededHelp schedule and facilitate job take-off meetings Assist with job close out documentationMaintain required records for supervisor and/or department. Maintain filing systems. Photocopy documents as required.Ensure routine work items (daily, weekly, monthly data reports or similar items) are completed in a timely manner.Follow up and expedite late items. Perform additional assignments per direction.Coordinate branch meetings/banquets and special projects as needed by the branch.Any coordination issues which cannot be resolved are elevated to the project manager (escalation).Communication effectiveness, conflict management and build rapport with field employees.RequirementsHigh school diploma required; higher education preferred2+ years customer service experience requiredProject coordinator experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) Strong communication skills, both verbal and writtenDetail-oriented with a high capacity for multitasking Strong Customer Service Skills Desire to actively contribute to a team environmentPositive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiableExemplify Company valuesCompetence to keep personnel information strictly confidentialStrong interpersonal skills; ability to interact and with all levels of the company at field sites and offices, and effectively deal with vendors, customers and regulatory agenciesProfessional and positive attitude toward responsibilities and coworkersMetroPower is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
