BRAC is an international development organisation founded in Bangladesh that partners with over 100 million people living with inequality and poverty globally to create sustainable opportunitiesto realise potential.BRAC, in partnership with the Australian Border Force, is implementing a mass awareness campaign (2025–2026) to combat human trafficking, people smuggling, and irregular migration in Bangladesh. The project will engage youth, communities, and influencers through educational institutions, youth groups, community events, cultural programs, media, and digital platforms. It will also strengthen survivor networks and build the capacity of institutions. The initiative aims to empower vulnerable groups with accurate information, promote safe migration practices, and reduce the risks of exploitation. The project duration is till June 30, 2026.We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join us as the Project Coordinator (Contractual Position) under the Migration Programme. In this role, you will lead the implementation of the ABF-funded project, "Mass Awareness to Combat Human Trafficking and People Smuggling," under the BRAC Migration Programme. You will be responsible for driving the strategic vision and goals of the project. This position involves providing management and coordination support to teams and donors, including designing, planning, and overseeing financial management to ensure effective project implementation. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing the capacity of staff, partners, stakeholders, and the community to safeguard the rights of migrant workers.Major Responsibilities:Lead and implement the Mass Awareness to Combat Human Trafficking and People Smuggling project activities in compliance with the policies and regulations of BRAC and the donor.Ensure project plans and schedules are followed, develop solutions to project challenges, and successfully lead others to complete projects on time and within budget.Oversee project activities and be the main contact point to communicate with the donors and stakeholders.Manage stakeholder coordination, advocacy, and networking with partners, donors, and government officialsResponsible for regularly submitting activity reports, meeting minutes, and financial reports to both BRAC and the donor.Facilitate the project team and others to identify project requirements and ensure they align with programme objectives.Implement project plans, specifications, roles and responsibilities, and the necessary communications are defined and completed to standard within the programme framework.Ensure grant compliance regularly and take the necessary measures to address the requirement.Lead the capacity development initiatives and collaborate closely with team membersFacilitate the project team and others to identify project requirements and ensure they align with programme objectives.Safeguarding Responsibilities:Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation, and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise in safeguarding to establish a safe working environmentPractices promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.Follows the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourages others to do so.What you should have:The ideal candidate for this role would be someone with a Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Social Science preferably, having a minimum 8 years of experience in the Migration sector. You should demonstrate a sound understanding of development and migration concepts, including reintegration and trafficking issues.
