Job Description

Position OverviewThe Project Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of our residential redevelopment projects, specifically the conversion of single-detached homes into quad-plex and six-plex. This role combines infrastructure and utility coordination with broader construction project support, including consultant coordination, site inspections, procurement assistance, tendering, and invoice organization. The Project Coordinator ensures projects move forward smoothly by bridging technical requirements, municipal approvals, and site execution.Key ResponsibilitiesUtility & Infrastructure CoordinationManage all utility-related activities, including service disconnections, new connections, relocations, and upgrades for hydro, water, gas, and telecom.Set up and monitor utility accounts, manage billing transitions, and reconcile invoices against project budgets.Submit and track arborist-related applications (tree removals, protection permits) as required for each site.Liaise with utility providers, inspectors, and municipal staff to align approvals and inspections with project timelines.Construction Project CoordinationCoordinate with consultants (architects, engineers, arborists, surveyors) to ensure deliverables and reports are completed on schedule.Perform site inspections to monitor progress, verify work quality, and confirm compliance with design and permit requirements.Support the project manager in maintaining construction schedules, identifying risks, and tracking milestones.Prepare and distribute progress reports, meeting notes, and coordination updates.Procurement & TenderingAssist in preparing tender packages and coordinating bid submissions from trades and suppliers.Review vendor proposals and compare pricing for accuracy and completeness.Support the procurement process by drafting purchase orders and ensuring material delivery aligns with project needs.Billing & AdministrationOrganize, verify, and track trade and consultant invoices.Ensure invoices are coded to the correct project and submitted for timely approvals.Maintain accurate records of applications, approvals, contracts, and correspondenceQualifications2–4 years of experience in construction coordination, infrastructure management, or a related field.Knowledge of utility service requirements for residential development (hydro, water, gas, telecom).Familiarity with municipal permitting processes and working with consultants (engineering, surveying, arborist).Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and project management tools (Monday.com, MS Project, or equivalent).Post-secondary education in construction management, civil engineering technology, or a related discipline preferred.Compensation & ReportingCompetitive salary based on experience.Reports to: Manager of Construction.Full-time salaried position
