Job Description

Our Client:We are partnering with a MNC that specializes in building hyperscale facilities or data centres. The company is expanding their Malaysia operations and looking for a Project Director as part of their strategic growth.Responsibility:Serve as the main liaison between the company and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, contractors, and government or utility authorities related to land, power, water, and building matters.Provide overall leadership for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance, ensuring adherence to corporate EHS standards and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.Support site assessment, feasibility studies, and land acquisition activities in coordination with internal and external teams.Oversee documentation and project controls, ensuring all reports, schedules, and records are accurately maintained from project initiation through commissioning and handover.Partner with internal teams — including Sales, Solutions, Operations, and Finance — to ensure commercial and technical alignment during project delivery.Lead project teams to identify potential safety and operational risks, implementing proactive mitigation and control measures.Ensure continuous compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 quality, environmental, and occupational health management standards.Drive performance excellence across all phases, ensuring cost, schedule, quality, and safety objectives are achieved.Requirements:Minimum 15–20 years of project management experience, preferably leading data center or mission-critical facility developments.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, Facilities Management, or a related engineering discipline; postgraduate or professional certification is advantageous.Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams and manage multiple project stakeholders.Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to engage effectively with clients, partners, and internal teams.Proven analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.Familiarity with MEP and building services systems, particularly within mission-critical or high-availability environments.Skilled in strategic planning, contract management, and construction execution from mobilization to project closeout.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while fostering a collaborative work culture.How to apply:To apply online, please click on the appropriate link.
