Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Project Director to lead the construction of high-rise projects in the luxury residential sector, with budgets ranging from 80 to 150 million euros in Manila (Philippines).You will report to the Operations Manager, providing regular updates to management on progress, issues, expenses, and risks.BBI (36%) is represented in the Philippines by MDBI, a joint venture founded in 2017 with Makati Development Corporation (MDC, 64%).Your Main Responsibilities Will IncludeStrategic vision and anticipation:Develop a thorough understanding of the project, anticipate its objectives and challenges, and implement monitoring tools to foresee future needs and adapt strategies accordingly.Identify potential risks and issues from the earliest phases to ensure smooth project execution, by implementing preventive plans and innovative solutions.Team building and mobilization:Build and develop teams by mobilizing the right skills at the right time and in the right roles.Ensure clear and effective distribution of roles and tasks throughout the project.Foster a collaborative and positive atmosphere among all project stakeholders, leading and uniting the teams.Integrated management at all levels:Oversee all activities, including design, procurement, production, safety, QA/QC, contract management, financial risk, and human resources, with particular attention to accuracy and compliance with group policies.Manage the site internally in close collaboration with the Production Manager, Safety Manager, Finance Department, and General Management for smooth coordination.Define and manage the contractual and commercial strategy based on the risk/opportunity register, and arbitrate claims/variations.Effectively manage external relations with local authorities, clients, and other stakeholders, defending MDBI’s interests while maintaining open communication.Identify, manage, and mitigate key difficulties and risks, while remaining alert to opportunities.Manage responses to major events (serious accidents, strikes, bankruptcy, demonstrations) in conjunction with the crisis unit.Representation and accountability:Represent the company’s interests to clients, partners, and stakeholders, upholding the values and standards of Bouygues Bâtiment International, and take responsibility before the authorities.ProfileEngineering degree (or equivalent) or experience in a similar position, with at least 10 years in construction, including project management roles, ideally internationally.Experience in similar projects and familiarity with GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) contract management is preferred.Proven ability to manage projects of various sizes, supervise teams, and coordinate complex activities while meeting deadlines and budgets.Strong technical and financial expertise, enabling informed decision-making and driving overall project performance.Demonstrated autonomy and leadership in previous roles, with the ability to navigate dynamic and ever-changing environments.Teamwork is essential, and you know how to adapt to changes, remain impartial, and proactively suggest process improvements.
