Mechanical (Mandatory)Job DescriptionCosben is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Project Engineer. He is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing engineering projects from inception to completion. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring that projects meet technical specifications, safety standards, and client expectations. The Project Engineer will play a key role in ensuring successful project delivery by solving technical issues and driving continuous improvement.Project Planning and Development:Collaborate with customers to understand their specific requirements and translate them into detailed project plans.Collaborate with customers to understand their specific requirements and translate them into detailed project plans.Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and project timelines for customized products.Design and Engineering Coordination:Work closely with the design and engineering teams to develop product specifications and drawings that meet customer requirements.Ensure that designs are manufacturable and align with production capabilities.Manage design changes and modifications based on customer feedback and production constraints.Production Support:Coordinate with the production team to ensure that manufacturing processes are set up to produce customized products efficiently.Provide technical support during the production phase, addressing any engineering challenges or changes required.Oversee the first article inspection and prototype production to ensure alignment with customer specifications.Vendor and Supplier Management:Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials and components required for customized products.Assess supplier capabilities and work on quality improvements to meet project requirements.Manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of custom parts.Customer Communication and Relationship :Conduct market research to stay updated on trends, pricing, and availability of materials.Provide regular updates to customers on project status, addressing any concerns or changes promptlyEnsure that customer expectations are managed effectively, and deliverables meet their satisfaction.Cost and Risk Management:Monitor project budgets and ensure that costs are controlled without compromising quality.Optimize the balance between customization, cost, and manufacturing efficiencyCompliance and Documentation:Prepare project reports, including performance metrics, timelines, and budgets.Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier performance.Other Skills & Experience RequirementProficient in reading, understanding, and reviewing engineering drawingsExcellent communication skills with strong proficiency in English (written and spoken).Proficient in ERP systems and procurement softwareProfessional certification in project managementStrong analytical/ problem solving, organizational and time management skillsMust be proficient in MS ExcelHighly organized and diligent with proven time-management abilities.Preferably from the process industry, chemicals, pharmaceutical equipment manufacturers, or project consultants (mechanical equipment/process industry).Who Are We Looking ForWe are seeking someone with strong organizational and communication skills, complemented by technical proficiency.
