We’re doing what we can to help Aotearoa reduce its carbon emissions and supporting others in our communities to do the same.We serve around 400,000 customers and have big aspirations to deliver value to even more homes and businesses across Aotearoa through our two brands, Meridian and Powershop.Mō te tūranga | What you’ll be doing The Project Engineer position in Meridian's Asset Deployment & Operations Team will be responsible for developing concept designs, performing due diligence for hardware and technical solutions, and engineering from post-contract execution to project delivery and commissioning. Furthermore, the role will ensure we meet safety-in-design, compliance with AS/NZ standards, WorkSafe guidelines, NCOP and Meridian's quality and safety standards.The role will also entail providing support asset management, maintenance and fault response efforts across our EVCI network and solar PV assets, and project management and coordination efforts as required for our EVCI and solar PV project pipelines. Technical sales support will also be required to be provided to our Sales and ICT teams to enhance and support their capabilities and targets.The role is to support the decarbonisation of New Zealand, specifically through work in solar PV systems, EVCI and energy storage solutions. Furthermore, the position will play a pivotal part in ensuring Meridian's in-house technical capabilities are ahead of the field and ensure we are ready to effectively scale our efforts to meet increasing demand. Embedding a robust health and safety culture is critical to the role. Industry stakeholder engagement with networks/EDBs, contractors, suppliers, and customers. Adept with engineering and design programs including AutoCAD, PVSyst. Proficient with Microsoft suite Strong understanding of project budgets and commercial acumen. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience working with EV infrastructure, PV engineering and design and energy storage projects. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across various sectors.
