Project Engineer – Offshore (EPCI)

Job Description

About the roleYou support EPCI projects from preparation through execution in the offshore oil & gas domain. As the connective link between engineering, yard/execution and external partners, you keep projects safe, on time, and to spec while driving technical solutions and risk mitigation.Key responsibilitiesCoordinate EPCI phases: engineering, work preparation, fabrication, (pre-)commissioning and handover.Align disciplines (structural, piping, E&I) and manage suppliers/subcontractors and interfaces.Build and maintain work packs, scope, and change control; safeguard specs and drawings.Track plans and progress (using MS Project/Primavera), flag risks/constraints, and implement mitigations.Support cost control and produce progress/risk/change reports for project leadership.Assure quality & HSE: ITPs, inspections, NCR follow-up; liaise with QA/QC and HSE.Coordinate FATs/inspections at vendors; support yard/offshore walk-downs as needed.Input to procurement: technical specs, bid comparisons, vendor document reviews.Capture lessons learned and feed back into design and execution.Prepare handover/as-built/MDR documentation.RequirementsBachelor’s/Master’s in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Mechanical, Marine, Electrical/Automation).Experience in offshore O&G or heavy industry (platform fabrication/mods, topsides, modules).Familiar with EPCI workflows, work packs, interface management and document control.Multi-discipline awareness (structural/piping/E&I) and exposure to relevant standards (e.g., DNV/API/NORSOK).Proficient in planning & project controls (MS Project/Primavera); basic cost tracking/reporting.Strong coordination and communication with internal & external stakeholders.Excellent English; Dutch is a plus.
