Job Description

The Project Engineer is expected to play a vital role in the successful execution of the Ity Recyn Upgrade Project, a brownfields expansion Project in Côte d’Ivoire (the Project). This position supports the Project team by providing technical expertise, coordinating engineering activities, and ensuring that project milestones are achieved safely, efficiently, and in line with Endeavour Mining’s standards and regulatory requirements. Key performance indicators (KPIs) will be defined in alignment with evolving project priorities.The role will involve the oversight of engineering, design, procurement and construction management activities for the engineers' assigned scope of the Project (HATCH and AUSENCO).KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESProject Engineering:Coordinate design, engineering, and construction activities on or off-site during all phases of the project.Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver scoping, design, engineering, procurement, and construction packages on time and on budget.Assist in the preparation, review, and approval of engineering drawings, technical documents, and scope of work.Ensure that work is executed in compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules; identify risks and assist in mitigation planning.Support the procurement and tendering process by providing technical input and evaluating vendor submissions.Maintain accurate documentation, including reports, progress updates, and engineering records.Contribute to the commissioning and handover of completed works to operations.Facilitate operational ramp-up, vendor training and support.HSE Management (for site roles):Demonstrate personal commitment to HSE practices and policies.Ensure that agreed safeguards and controls are applied and used, and that all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with Company standards and procedures, as well as any government regulations.Maintain duty of care obligations and promote effective safety systems for all employees and contractors, including responsibility for correcting unsafe acts.Adopt, uphold, and actively communicate a Zero Harm philosophy across all Endeavour Mining practices.Comply with the 4P’s within Endeavour Mining’s core values.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEEducationEngineering degree or tertiary qualifications preferred: Process, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering degree, or similar.Relevant trade qualifications and experience if applicable.Relevant experience5+ years of relevant project engineering, engineering, and/or construction experience in the mining industry or similar. Preferably for Projects within West Africa.Excellent communication skills, both oral and writing (French optional / English).Must exhibit initiative and a strong desire to achieve results.Must be computer literate in the use of typical construction industry software packages (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Word, Excel etc.)Demonstrated ability to build relationships and motivate teams of people.Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments and remote locations.Ability to align the commercial and progress outcomes required by the company.Cost management experience on projects of $20M+
