Project Engineer / Senior Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical)

Responsibilities:Understand contract requirements and M&E specifications in order to monitor progress, quality of workmanship and comply with project requirements and construction scheduleLiaise with design consultants on the design intent, review M&E design drawings and advise on any under provisions and over provisionsCoordinate with in-house architectural, civil and structural team to minimize discrepanciesCheck and prepare material sample with shop drawing submissionManage M&E subcontractors work progress, shop drawings, materials, samples, method statements submissions, and approvalAttend M&E coordination meeting, prepare M&E coordination drawings and liaise with Architectural Coordinators and Design Engineers for drawing issuanceEnsure good M&E drawing management and the control of M&E documentation and filing on siteEnsure timely production and submission of M&E shop drawings, materials submission and method statementsLead and mange M&E package delivery, construction and testing and commissioning activitiesEnsure all M&E site activities are well-planned, well-coordinated and on timeWork with the planners on the project scheduleCoordinate and assist site superintendent on installation and maintenance of site temporary utilities servicesCoordinate with all M&E stakeholders to ensure work is carried out in accordance with the approved shop drawings, materials and method statementsConduct pre-inspection with subcontractors prior to facilitation RE and RTO inspectionCarryout testing and commissioning activities at work site for both mechanical & electrical aspectsUpdate and follow up on variation order with client and consultantUnderstanding in details of both mechanical and electrical systemsRequirements:Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering recognised by PE Board / BCA, or relevant M&E accreditation recognised by PE Board/BCAAt least 8 years’ experience in Building Engineering projectsCandidate with more experience will be considered for a senior roleExperience with prefabricated MEP system projects will have an added advantageProficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and BIMOrganised, meticulous with positive work attitudeAble to work independently and a team playerGood analytical, supervision and communication skillsCompleted QM project and a registered Core-trade Foremen/Supervisor would be an added advantageInformation provided in response to this job advertisement will be treated in strict confidence and be used for recruitment purposes only.
