TECHNE are representing a fast-growing Scandinavian developer specialising in large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) - delivering some of Europe’s most advanced grid-scale projects.They develop, acquire, and operate energy storage assets across Scandinavia and Central Europe, including several projects exceeding 100 MW. Their mission is simple:“To accelerate Europe’s clean-energy transition by building and operating large-scale battery storage projects that strengthen grid stability and enable renewable power independence.”The OpportunityAs Project Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-impact energy infrastructure projects, supporting design, procurement, scheduling, and documentation, while working closely with the Project Manager throughout all phases of project delivery.This is a hands-on, varied role offering exposure across the full project lifecycle - from concept and design through to construction and commissioning.You’ll be joining a well-funded, high-growth developer with a startup mindset: agile, collaborative, and free from corporate bureaucracy.Role: Project EngineerType: Full-Time, PermanentLocation: Gothenburg, SwedenWorking Arrangements: Hybrid (on-site project delivery + occasional travel across Scandinavia)Languages: Swedish & English Reports To: Project ManagerKey ResponsibilitiesSupport planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control for live projects.Contribute technical input to electrical and systems design during project development and delivery.Coordinate suppliers, contractors, and consultants to maintain progress and quality.Manage technical documentation, drawings, and commissioning activities.Participate in multidisciplinary meetings covering electrical, control, and monitoring systems.Required Skills and ExperienceDegree in Electrical or Energy Engineering (or equivalent).Experience with high or medium-voltage systems, ideally within battery storage, renewables, or grid infrastructure.Hands-on background in system engineering, electrical design, or commissioning.Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English.Career Growth and DevelopmentWithin 12–18 months, you’ll have supported multiple large-scale energy projects from planning through to commissioning, gaining full lifecycle experience.
