Job Description : In our production departments Raw materials are transformed into finished, filled medicines. The product passes through several production steps — weighing, formulation, preparation, freeze-drying, filling, capping, inspection, storage, and transport. At every stage, the production team strives for the highest level of operational excellence. Further along the production process, the medicine is labeled and packaged before being distributed through the supply chain to reach the patient. Within the Engineering Department We are responsible for the execution of various projects. As a Project Engineer Utilities, the consultant acts as the main point of contact for all Utilities-related technology within the project. The consultant is responsible for executing projects from design to final delivery of the Utilities (including basic and detailed design, process description, procurement, construction, start-up, and validation). The Utilities supplied to the production process primarily consist of clean utilities (direct impact compressed air, clean steam, water for injection, nitrogen) and additional black utilities (steam, city water, cooling water, nitrogen, vacuum, etc.). The utilities may include generation, storage, and distribution systems. The consultant is actively involved in designing the utilities scope and defining the process description of the system with a focus on functionality, reliability, safety, and quality. Concepts such as PFD, P&ID, HAZOP, FunctionalDescription, SCADA, Functional Testing, FAT, and SAT are well known to the consultant. In addition, the consultant ensures proper on-site project follow-up, focusing on safety, quality, planning, and cost. Scope of Work : Acts as the main point of contact for the Utilities scope within the project. Responsible for developing functionality and P&IDs. Translates client expectations into specifications and represents the client’s interests towards suppliers. Demonstrates a strong understanding of process installation safety and operation. Performs necessary risk analyses and ensures accurate documentation. Coordinates and supervises installation activities and executes verification/validation tests (FAT/SAT). Capable of developing a detailed schedule aligned with overall project or operational planning, ensuring timely delivery within budget. Able to lead projects independently, manage a (multidisciplinary) project team, and oversee external engineering firms. Ensures clear task allocation within the team and follows project management systems accordingly. Experience : Must-have: Higher technical education (Industrial, Civil, or Bio-engineer). Excellent command of Dutch and English. Strong communication skills. Ability to work independently. Strong administrative skills. Critical eye for detail. Ability to lead and motivate a project team. Organized and accurate working style. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Minimum 1–5 years of experience in process engineering, specifically related to piping. Nice to have: Enthusiastic team player. Experience in the pharmaceutical sector. VOL-VCA certification. Knowledge of GMP, Six Sigma methodology, and risk management tools such as FMEA.
