Job DescriptionJob Summary The Project and Engineering Lead will support the Head of Capital Projects & Engineering, Europe, in delivering capital projects that align with business objectives while ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and safety standards. This role emphasizes strategic planning, project execution, technical expertise, and stakeholder management.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and execution of capital projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with quality, environmental, and safety standards.Coordinate with plant Project and Engineering Managers to maintain the 3-year master plan.Ensure the successful execution of capital projects by challenging and supporting plants project team to guarantee accurate completion, budget accuracy, and quality delivery.Critically evaluate Project CARs, ambitious schedules, budgets, scope, and constructability while promoting solutions that meet business needs.Support Project Team as focal point of knowledge and reviewer during project CAR/Pre-CAR/Emergence CAR development, Pre-TPR, TPR, and FEL preparation and presentations.Evaluate and act as the first approver for project scope changes that impact scope, budget, and/or timelines, leading the supplementary CAR preparation and approval process.Coordinate with multi-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain Development, Procurement, and Logistics, to ensure successful project delivery.Ensure compliance with Engineering Standards, Preferred Suppliers, and Project Procedures.Support the Head of CAPEX and Engineering in implementing robust project management processes, enforcing KHMS also on design.Drive plant Engineering Managers to identify and develop opportunities for improving existing equipment, production lines, and operating systems to improve efficiency and output.Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, including Factory Managers, Package Sponsors, and the Operations Leadership Team.Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team on project-related matters.Lead the adoption of the Engineering Pillar of the Manufacturing Playbook (KHMS) within factories and ensure technical excellence across the Capital Engineering team.Collaborate with the PMO to prepare project status reports.Act as Project Manager for confidential projects aways when requested, supporting the Business, Network Design, and SCD teams with project management expertise until the handover to the project.Support plant Project Engineering Leads in the master data handover process during project completion/close-out to ensure a seamless transition to maintenance (and asset activation on the books.Attributes & ExperienceStrong technical expertise in engineering and project management, with experience in managing capital projectsExcellent communication and partner leadership skills, with experience in addressing senior managementAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple projects and prioritiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and reportingExperience in managing and developing high-performing teamsKey Metrics - KPIsPlants Portfolio Alignment Rate (%) – Projects in execution x approved Portfolio (AOP) for 3Y master plan – to measure the changes on approved portfolio.Alignment to plants approved CAPEX (%) – Total CAPEX approved on AOP CY x Execution (cash-out)Schedule Adherence (%) – Projects delivered as per approved schedule Baseline,Project Budget Adherence (%) – Projects delivered as per approved Budget (including contingency),On-Time Delivery (OTD) % - Projects delivered and within the approved baseline (Schedule)Location(s)AmsterdamKraft Heinz is an Equal Opportunity Employer – Underrepresented Ethnic Minority Groups/Women/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity and other protected classes.
