G2 have an incredibly exciting opportunity within the MANUFACTURING industry!My client is looking for a Permanent Project Engineering Manager (Plant Manager) to work on delivering packaged equipment projects from engineering to delivery to the customer. Their clients typically include large-scale food producers, within the FMCG sector. Your main responsibilities will be to manage the Project, Work preparation, Purchasing, Warehousing, Production and assembly, Planning and Project management teams.The company is a hugely successful manufacturing company which operates globally in regions such as Europe, Australia, US and China. You will be working from their Dutch entity, based in central Netherlands, Utrecht.Any candidates who have worked in the manufacturing sector, particularly metal, steel, food production lines, materials handling would be interesting for the client.Salary: €100,000-€130,000 per annum (8%, holidays, pension etc)Location: Utrecht, NetherlandsStart: December, January, February or March 2026 Dutch speaking is absolutely essential for this position – (Any candidates without B1+ language skills will not be considered for this opportunity.)Essential requirements:Bachelor's and/or Masters technical engineering educational background- preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineer (or another related field) 10+ years' experience in the manufacturing, machinery, industrial or food/FMCG industryExperience managing a team of up to 15-20 (Four direct reports) Ability to manage projects from engineering to delivery to customerUnderstanding of ERP type systems, ideally lean manufacturing methodologyManaging Project, Work preparation, Purchasing, Warehousing, Production and assembly, Planning and Project Management teamsDutch speakingThe client is very interested in finding a candidate before Christmas, so any candidates with an immediate start or flexibility to interview immediately would be ideal. However, the client will also wait for candidates with a notice period of 1 to 3 months.
