Project Finance Analyst (Certified in MS Excel and MIS Reporting)Remote positionFull-time roleJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced Project Finance Analyst who is highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and has a strong background in MIS (Management Information System) report creation and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing project financial data, preparing detailed reports, monitoring budgets, and supporting management with actionable insights to ensure financial efficiency and project success.Key Responsibilities:Develop, maintain, and automate MIS reports and financial dashboards using advanced MS Excel tools (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, Macros, VBA, etc.).Track and monitor project budgets, forecasts, expenditures, and cost variances on a regular basis.Perform financial analysis of ongoing and proposed projects to assess profitability, ROI, and cost efficiency.Consolidate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports across multiple projects.Prepare budget vs. actual analysis and highlight discrepancies or potential risks to management.Collaborate with the project and finance teams to collect, validate, and interpret project data.Support management with data-driven decision-making through custom Excel models, dashboards, and scenario analysis.Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data in MIS systems and ensure timely updates.Develop and streamline financial templates and reporting formats to improve reporting efficiency.Assist in internal and external financial audits by providing project-related financial data and supporting documentation.Prepare cash flow projections, funding utilization reports, and cost-benefit analyses for ongoing and upcoming projects.Required Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.Certification in Advanced MS Excel or MIS Reporting (mandatory).Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Project Finance Analyst, MIS Analyst, or Financial Planning Analyst.Strong command over MS Excel including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, charts, conditional formatting, Power Query, Power Pivot, and macros.Proficiency in data analysis, reconciliation, and report automation using Excel.Hands-on experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and meet tight deadlines.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with ERP or accounting software (SAP, Oracle, Tally, QuickBooks, etc.) is an advantage.Experience in project-based industries (construction, engineering, telecom, or IT projects).Knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools will be a plus.Key Competencies:Advanced Excel & MIS reporting skillsFinancial planning and analysisBudgeting and forecastingData interpretation and presentationAttention to accuracy and timelinessProblem-solving and critical thinkingCollaboration and communication
