This position is ideal for someone who thrives on time-sensitive coordination, enjoys being at the center of multi-party communication, and takes pride in keeping freight moving without disruption.Position DescriptionCoordinating full life-cycle shipment activity from port arrival through final deliveryServing as the main point of contact for carriers, trucking partners, co-loaders, and customs brokersMonitoring and updating shipment status inside the transport management systemTroubleshooting holds, delays, and exceptions with urgency and accuracyEnsuring all commercial paperwork and regulatory documentation is complete and compliantSupporting invoicing, costing, and file closure activitiesChampioning operational excellence through proactive communication and measurable KPIsEnsuring a consistent customer experience across all projects and internal branchesFast-paced, high-volume, detail-first logistics settingMonday to Friday, full-time on-site presence requiredCompany-provided parkingCandidates with a reasonable commute are preferredQualificationsMinimum 5 years of hands-on freight forwarding operations experience (air and ocean, import and export)Proven background coordinating oversized or project cargo in the Canadian or North American marketStrong communication skills when working with carriers, vendors, and clientsHigh attention to detail, especially around documentation, routing, and complianceAbility to juggle multiple shipments, deadlines, and stakeholders at onceConfident problem solver who stays calm when exceptions ariseProficiency with Microsoft Office and transport management systemsBilingual in English and French is an assetEducationA bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferredAdditional InformationJob Type - In-Office, Permanent, Full-TimeIndustries - Freight ForwardingJob Categories - Logistics/Distribution/WarehousingManages Others - NoRequired Travel - YesRelocation Assistance - NoLearn More About the RecruiterTrevor Stewart, B.A., (Hons.) joined the Recruitment Profession immediately upon graduation from University and has never looked back.
