This role requires strong technical expertise in geotechnical engineering, focusing on the design and analysis of earth structures, marine foundations, and heavy-lift foundation support. The candidate will assess soil and rock conditions to ensure stable foundations and safe infrastructure, addressing environmental aspects and collaborating with multi-discipline teams. This role is open to remote, hybrid, or in-office work. Up to 15% travel is possible with this role.Primary ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership: Lead project design through technical reports, geotechnical calculations, analysis, and modelingEarth Structures & Foundations: Provide design, construction observation, and finite element analysis. Perform geotechnical analysis, design calculations, and ensure soil stability for heavy civil, upland, and in-water environmental remediation projectsMarine Structural Foundations: Provide pile driving analysis, dynamic pile testing, CAPWAP. Collaborate with structural engineers to create complementary foundation designsHeavy-Lift Foundations: Evaluate soil and rock properties, load-bearing capacity, and ground improvement. Address environmental impacts and ensure sustainable practicesGeneral Geotechnical: Collect data, analyze slope stability, manage groundwater, and assess geotechnical risks. Use tools like AutoCAD for design and decision-makingProject Management: Assist with proposals, reports, and project phases. Base compensation will vary based on factors such as: years of experience, location, level of responsibility and licenses/certifications. In addition to base compensation, Foth members may be eligible to receive bonuses through our Earned Performance Incentive program. All employees are eligible for On-the-Spot bonuses. Exempt members are also eligible for either quarterly and/or annual bonuses.
