Analyze and solve complex problems independently or with minimal guidance.Part specification requirements and BOM creation.Negotiations with peripheral parts managers and suppliers.Perform cost analysis, strength calculations, and material selection.Improve products and processes by leveraging knowledge of best practices and internal and external business challenges.Finding new ways to improve overall productivity, leverage the latest technology, and reduce part costs.Travel to clients is available.Qualifications10+ years of experience in designing automotive plastics parts.CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE skills required.Solid and surface modeling and drafting skills.Engineering design and development experience for automotive plastic parts.High communication skills in Japanese and bilingual skills in Japanese and English are essential.OEM/Tier 1 experience required.Japanese OEM parts development experience preferred.Knowledge of automotive product development milestones is essential.Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, DFMEA, GD&T and tolerance stackup analysis.Experience with MS Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint is a must.#GokenNihonGoken is committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and engaging workplace across all global locations.
