You will work closely with all parts of the multi-disciplinary Active Travel England, from inspectors to spatial planners, as well external partners, stakeholders, training providers and events delivery companies.We expect that you’ll already have experience in a training and education or a project delivery role. You’ll be adept at using different portfolio / programme / project management methods and be able to operate in both traditional and agile environments. The role holder will work across multiple projects from a flagship conference to accredited online courses and in-person training and workshops, working to an agreed set of priorities.Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Aren’t Limited To:Defining and leading the project to deliver agreed outcomes within time, cost, and quality constraints.Managing and leading the project and team on a day-to-day basis. Setting project controls, designing the project structure suitable for each stage, and selecting appropriate delivery methodologies.Ensuring benefits are identified, understood, measured, tracked, and owned. Implementing and monitoring a benefits realisation strategy to ensure longer-term delivery of benefits against the business case.Identifying key stakeholders and develops effective relationships. You will be a key point of contact for authorities and stakeholders regarding training and education and capability building.Identifying and monitoring project risks and issues, developing mitigating actions, and escalating as needed.Providing key reports and supports effective governance and decision-making.Developing a project plan and applying project principles to achieve stated objectives.
