Project Manager – EPC Project (Oil & Gas)Location: Basra, IraqCompany: Basrah Mas CompanyReports To: Executive DirectorRole SummaryBasrah Mas is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead an EPC project involving three Turbo Pump units in Southern Iraq. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects, with strong capabilities in managing engineering, procurement, and construction activities while ensuring alignment between all project stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources for the EPC of two Turbo Pump systems.Ensure project delivery aligns with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.Serve as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain clear communication throughout the project.Monitor project costs, control expenditures, and ensure delivery within the approved budget.Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and cost analyses for senior management.Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met on time.Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing contingency plans as needed.Ensure compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.Oversee quality control processes to ensure high-standard deliverables.Recruit and build the required project team in coordination with the HR department.Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.Foster collaboration and resolve conflicts to ensure smooth project execution.Oversee procurement, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and material delivery.Ensure timely availability of equipment and materials to support project timelines.Enforce strict adherence to HSE policies and promote a safety-first culture.Prepare and submit regular progress reports, including risk assessments and financial updates.Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and technical specifications.Oversee commissioning of the three Turbo Pump systems and manage project handover, including documentation and client acceptance.Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices for future projects.Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or Project Management; Master’s or PMP certification is a plus.Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects, including at least 5 years in project management roles.Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Fluency in English; Arabic language is an advantage.Based in Basra, with flexibility to travel to the project site as required.Proven experience managing sub-vendors, engineering partners, and principals, ensuring complete alignment with project objectives, and the ability to thrive in a challenging and dynamic environment.Why Join UsJoin a company that plays a leading role in delivering large-scale energy and infrastructure projects across Iraq, in partnership with leading international companies and global players in the energy sector.
