With the flexibility for remote work one day a week, this role strikes the perfect balance between teamwork and autonomyDuties And ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:Develop a comprehensive understanding of the project requirements including scope of services, site conditions, import privileges, customs clearance, shipping and import document preparation, cargo insurance coverage and limitations, routing, carrier selection, and quoting, reporting and invoicing requirementsMonitor compliance, procedural review and updates as requiredOverall project management and coordinationInterface with client when critical issues arise and assess possible solutionsSuccessfully transfer knowledge to other relevant internal teams as well as provide support as neededLeverage technical expertise and relationships to contribute to strategy and drive business resultsTrack and report project financials (budgeted vs actual) for allocated resource hours and billingsPrepare agency agreements/contract of services in co-operation with and under management supervisionNegotiate and coordinate project cargo with the requirement that any booking notes or final agreements with carriers for sea carriage are co-signed by a senior managerAdditional Responsibilities Include:Familiarization with company rules, regulations, and proceduresAdvise management of charter requests and legal issues immediatelyCompliance with corporate policy for communication, confidentiality and signing authority (financial and legal commitments)Fluency in IncotermsDesign solutions and turnkey project executionOther duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirementsQualificationsRequired:High School diploma or GEDMinimum 7 years of project logistics experienceFreight forwarding experience (preferably project style cargo and breakbulk)Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or universityFluent in English, written and verbalPreferred:Ability to travel as required (domestically/internationally)Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programsStrong decision making, critical thinking and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication (both written and verbal) skillsHighly organized and detail-oriented with strong ability to prioritize with little directionStrong prioritization and time management skillsProven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environmentAbility to manage tight deadlines and adapt to changing prioritiesPassion for providing exceptional service to internal and external customersValues a diverse and inclusive work environmentProtect Yourself from Fraud: At C.H.
