As the Project Manager, Clinical Innovations reporting to the Medical Director, you will drive innovation in Liberia’s National Community Health Assistant program by piloting or implementing community healthcare solutions that broaden the program’s scope and have the potential to deliver higher-quality clinical services to patients in the last mile. Your technical assistance, program and departmental coordination, and creative problem-solving will be critical to scaling and improving this incredible program. This role is based in Monrovia, Liberia, and is open to Liberian nationals. Duration:

Eleven (11) Months What you’ll doProject, Budget, And Team ManagementOversee the management and evaluation of strategic program pilots and/or innovations designed to improve or extend the services offered through the National Community Health Assistant program. Pilots could be focused on including health services related to child health (nutrition, immunization, malaria, etc), maternal and reproductive health, or family planningEnsure the project remains in scope, on budget, and on time through the utilization of project management tools, including, but not limited to, a work plan, risk mitigation plan, and stakeholder matrix.

Provide supportive supervision and mentorship to a small team to ensure all project deliverables are met on time. Government Engagement And Partner CoordinationServe as a critical liaison between the LMH program team that directly leads portions of the National Community Health Assistant program and the MOH to ensure that strategy, communications, and insights are seamlessly shared. Coordinate extensively with and maintain strong working relationships with relevant Ministry of Health departments and units (Expanded Program for Immunization, Nutrition Division, Family Health Division, Community Health Services Division etc.

) to identify, design & execute pilots, provide technical assistance, and ensure cross-departmental communication throughout the MoH on topics of importance to the National CHA Program. Technical OversightAct as a thought partner, technical authority, and coach to others on the Clinical Innovation team, ensuring that the team is positioned to achieve goals and accelerate its impact. Lead project check-ins and provide regular technical updates on project progress Lead on project report writing Support new business development by informing the design of new clinical innovations and providing input into proposals.

What You'll BringProgressive years of experience successfully leading public health projects across a range of topical areas, including leading multiple projects from design to implementation to evaluation. Strong project and budget management skills, including experience developing work plans, budgets, and M&E plans.

Direct clinical experience in community health, nursing, or related fieldA track record of building productive and long-lasting relationships with external partners, such as governments and clinical institutionsDemonstrated experience with project management, including managing quality improvement projects Strong skills in working with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to lead a team of diverse peopleDemonstrated experience in working with remote communities You’ll Impress Us IfYou have directly managed experiments or other small-scale pilots in partnership with the Ministry of Health that have then been scaled nationallyYou have implemented monitoring and evaluation models to assess program effectivenessYou have demonstrated experience in working with remote communities Compensation InformationAt Last Mile Health, we strive to reward our employees equitably and transparently.

Please note that this compensation is subject to statutory taxes.
