Job DescriptionJob Requirements – Project Manager (Data Center Migration)We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate a complex data center migration involving 1,500+ servers. This role will serve as the central point of coordination across engineering, application, security, and business teams to ensure the successful execution of a large-scale infrastructure transformation effort.Minimum Qualifications8+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 3 years managing cloud migration or data center exit projectsProven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects with cross-functional technical teams, vendors, and stakeholdersDemonstrated experience managing the migration of Windows-based environments (Active Directory, IIS, SQL Server) to AWS or similar platformsStrong understanding of cloud concepts, particularly AWS services, migration tooling, networking, and hybrid cloud operationsExperience with program-level governance, resource planning, and RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) trackingProficiency in using project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, Confluence, and SharePointStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical engineers, senior leadership, and business usersSolid knowledge of change management, cutover planning, and operational readiness best practicesPreferred QualificationsPMP, Scrum Master (CSM/PSM), or SAFe certificationAWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS-specific project experienceExperience managing vendor teams, system integrators, or outsourced infrastructure providersFamiliarity with ITIL processes, CMDB management, and enterprise service delivery modelsExperience in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, financial services, government) with awareness of compliance frameworksCore ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end project lifecycle of a major data center migration initiativeDevelop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, resource assignments, and communication plansCoordinate technical engineering teams, application owners, architects, engineers, and security leads to ensure alignment and progressFacilitate regular status meetings, provide executive reporting, and drive issue resolution across technical and non-technical teamsTrack dependencies, risks, and blockers; escalate as appropriate and drive mitigation strategiesSupport the creation of migration runbooks, cutover schedules, and post-migration validation activitiesEnsure all workstreams are meeting quality, performance, and compliance expectations as systems move to AWSManage stakeholder expectations and act as a liaison between business units and technical implementation teamsDXC is an equal opportunity employer.
