Keep reading…A day in the life…The Iowa Clinic is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives that drive strategic growth, operational excellence and exceptional patient experience. This role will oversee a variety of projects spanning technology, finance, analytics, construction, clinical operations, patient experience and system integrations.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in healthcare settings, a solid foundation in technology implementation, construction project experience, and a proven ability to navigate matrixed organizations and work with all levels of the organization.
Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end project management for enterprise initiatives, including clinical workflow optimization, IT system rollouts, construction planning, and business development projects Develop comprehensive project charters, scopes, schedules, resource plans, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders across departments Establish clear communication and governance frameworks to ensure alignment, accountability, and timely decision-making Facilitate stakeholder engagement and change management across clinical, operational, administrative, and executive teams Coordinate with IT, HR, facilities, marketing, operations, finance, analytics and clinical departments to ensure integrated project planning and execution Serve as a liaison between The Iowa Clinic and third-party vendors, including architects, contractors, and technology partners as needed Oversee project risk management, proactively identifying issues and implementing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track Prepare and deliver executive-level updates and presentations, translating complex issues into clear action plans and recommendations Monitor and evaluate project performance, including outcomes, KPIs, and post-implementation reviews to ensure sustainability and ROI Develop organizational project processes and standards in a disciplined and thoughtful way Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement by establishing best practices in project management tools and methodologies Manage multiple, concurrent projects in a fast-paced, matrixed healthcare environment with shifting priorities and cross-functional dependencies Maintains awareness of workload of co-workers and offers assistance as appropriate.
Participates in management, departmental and interdepartmental meetings as assigned. Performs other tasks as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Demonstrated experience working in a matrixed organization, managing multiple stakeholders and competing prioritiesSome Salesforce or other CRM implementation and/or project management experience is requiredStrong technology and IT project background, including experience with system integrations and digital toolsSome experience with construction or facility buildout projects is highly preferredExcellent communication skills and ability to engage with individuals across all levels of an organizationExtremely detail oriented, with excellent follow throughLeads through influence to hold team members accountable and keep projects running on time and on budgetProficient in project management tools (e. g.
