Project Manager (Local)

SMX Services & Consulting is looking for a highly energetic and collaborative Project Manager, located in Puerto Rico.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESFollows a defined project management methodology, accountable for the detailed planning of steps and resources needed to meet objectives. Monitors and prepares reports to ensure work is progressing to meet the deliverables on time and on budget. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Effectively applies project management methodology and enforces project standards. Ensures that in-flight reviews and quality assurance procedures take place for all projects. Minimizes exposure and risk on projects. Solves conflicts and issues in a timely manner, escalating to manager as appropriate. Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Ensures quality control for all projects. Effectively communicates relevant project information to leadership. Provides leadership to multi-disciplinary teams, as well as manages the work of outside consultants. Help define business analysis requirements and specifications. Helps Develop workflows, use cases, data flows, process flows, report specs, mockups, and wire frames. Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements. Reports on common sources of technical issues or questions and recommendations. Works with users to define and document application or process problems. Researches, analyze and evaluates requests for new features and enhancements. Manages and supports quality assurance efforts. Other duties as assigned by managerKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Possess thorough understanding of project management phases, techniques, and tools. Possess strong and tested project management skills, including risk management. Proven abilities in problem management, process analysis and root cause analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. (Fully bilingual English/Spanish).Ability to work in a complex and matrixes team environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule, and meet deadlines. Possesses general understanding in the areas of application programming, database, and System Design. Possess quality presentation skills and experience in presenting complex plans and designs to executive-level management. Experience with infrastructure and Development IT Projects is required.Experience with E-commerce preferred. EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a master's degree is considered highly advantageous. A minimum of five years of experience successfully managing enterprise level IT projects. Strong familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
