Job Title: Project Manager / Business Analyst – Financial Markets & DataLocation: Sydney (Hybrid)Engagement: PermanentThe RoleWe’re after a Project Manager / Business Analyst with financial markets and data delivery experience. You’ll work across trading, operations, and data-driven change—leading projects from requirements through to implementation.You’ll bridge business and technology teams, turning complex market and data requirements into tangible outcomes. Ideal for someone with 3–6 years’ experience who can operate confidently across analysis, delivery, and stakeholder management.What You’ll DoLead end-to-end delivery of small-to-medium projects or key workstreamsGather and document business, functional, and data requirements across trading and operationsSupport data analysis, data mapping, and lineage documentation to enable system or regulatory changeWork with technology and data teams to validate data quality, flows, and integration pointsCoordinate UAT, cutover, and go-live activitiesManage timelines, risks, and stakeholder reporting across front, middle, and back-office functionsWhat We’re Looking For3–6 years’ experience as a BA or PM within financial markets (banking, trading, clearing, or post-trade)Solid data experience — analysis, reporting, lineage, or governance exposureUnderstanding of products such as equities, derivatives, or fixed incomeStrong front-to-back trade flow knowledge and exposure to trading or settlement systemsConfident stakeholder management across business, tech, and data teamsExcellent documentation and analytical skillsNice to HaveExperience with systems like Calypso, Murex, ION, or FidessaExposure to market or regulatory data programs (APRA, ASIC, CFTC, MiFID)Agile delivery experienceApplySend your CV to ellis@orcasearch.com.au quoting “PM/BA – Financial Markets & Data”.#projectmanagement #businessanalysis #financialmarkets #data #hiring #sydney
