At RBC, we are seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our team. You will play a key role in driving strategic initiatives that shape the future of banking while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.As part of the Value Office, you will contribute to one of the largest Project Management Offices at RBC. You will help deliver transformation initiatives, accelerate value creation, and support Agile ways of working that drive continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse stakeholders and senior leaders, contributing to some of RBC’s most important strategic initiatives.As a Project Manager, you will oversee RBC’s key initiatives, ensuring alignment with platform goals and strategic priorities. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, define project scope, and prioritize tasks to ensure successful delivery. Your role includes managing risks, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement to enhance business agility and value delivery.What will you do?Leadership: Define team roles and responsibilities, ensuring alignment on goals. Foster engagement by promoting team effectiveness, encouraging open communication, and recognizing achievements. Lead change management activities with clear plans and communication.Business Agility: Use tools and routines to enhance transparency and collaboration. Encourage self-organization and cross-functionality within teams. Track performance and implement process improvements using data insights.Stakeholder Management: Identify and prioritize stakeholder needs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Build trust through transparency, manage conflicts, and maintain strong relationships with partners.Planning & Schedule Management: Develop project plans that balance value and delivery frameworks. Adapt plans as priorities shift, guiding the team through ambiguity and focusing on high-value work. Communicate updates clearly to stakeholders.Continuous Improvement: Promote feedback to simplify processes and encourage innovative thinking. Implement frameworks to optimize workflows and drive continuous improvement.Communication & Facilitation: Deliver clear, tailored communications to stakeholders and teams. Facilitate inclusive meetings and leverage tools to enhance engagement and clarity.Risk Management: Proactively assess risks and issues, engaging stakeholders to implement mitigation strategies. Maintain transparent communication on risk status.Delivery Tools & Frameworks: Support the adoption of enterprise tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Planview) to enhance delivery. Apply and educate teams on RBC’s project management policies and frameworks.What do you need to succeed? Must have:3-5 years of experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects.Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and apply delivery frameworks to achieve successful outcomes.Strong stakeholder management skills, with a focus on influencing outcomes and building partnerships with senior leaders and vendors.Agile delivery experience, including setting up agile teams, influencing ways of working, and establishing effective routines.Expertise in planning and maintaining integrated project schedules, roadmaps, and status reports.Experience in project financial management, including budget planning, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis.Proficient in risk and issue management, including conducting assessments and developing mitigation strategies.Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including tailoring messages and leading discussions with senior audiences.Nice to have:Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.Professional certifications such as PMP, CSM, or SAFe.Change management certification (e.g., CCMP, Prosci).Experience managing large business or technology projects in financial services.What’s in it for you?
