Technical Project ManagerOur client, a leading global technology company with a strong presence in the Asian market, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Incentive Platform Department in Tokyo.About the Role: You'll oversee projects for one of Japan's most popular loyalty program platforms, managing web and app products that process hundreds of thousands of transactions daily. This role sits at the intersection of technology and customer engagement, driving improvements that impact millions of users across the ecosystem.Key Responsibilities:Define project scope and objectives while managing resources effectivelyDevelop detailed project schedules and work plans based on product prioritiesBreak down complex technical features into actionable tasksProvide regular updates to stakeholders on strategy and progressApply industry best practices throughout project executionMonitor performance metrics and identify improvement areasLead by example in ownership and accountabilitySupport service troubleshooting during incidentsRequired Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field5+ years of project management experienceProven track record managing full project lifecyclesDirect experience working with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholdersStrong expertise in agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)Experience with cross-cultural development teamsExcellent communication and analytical skillsPreferred Qualifications:Advanced degree (MS/PhD)Software engineering or PMO backgroundExperience managing multiple parallel projectsWeb service development experienceTechnical documentation expertise (API specs, architectural designs)JIRA/Confluence proficiencyBasic Japanese reading/writing skillsLocation: Tokyo, Japan Work Style: Hybrid
